First you Understanding the Different Types of ENERGY BAND (Covalent,Valency) & how energy band are related to Semiconductors.Basic Concepts of each Element using in Circuit analysis like SemiConductors, Resistor,CAPACITOR,Inductor,DIODE(LED,PhotoDiode,
Zener diode,SCR,Varactor),Transistor(BJT,FETS,MOS,).
You should learn the Basic Laws of Electronics (KCL KVL,Voltage Divider & Current Divider)
Study thoroughly about DIODE and its Application because if you understanding the Diode concepts then its easy for the Transistor analysis and wave shaping circuits (HWR,FWR,Clippers,Clampers).
Understanding the basic Transistor Configurations ( CC, CE, CB ) their properties & deriving by make Short notes for small, and large signal operation, and their regions of operation.Learn some Simple Tricks to Analyze the circuits easily.
While starting Circuit Analysis (BJT,FET) try to understand from which branch which current flows its and also junction voltage.
Make short note on Basic formulae.
There are many a book for Electronics and each has strong and weak points, So Finding one book for complete EDC Preparation is hard. At least TWO text books are need for EDC. One is Standard Text Book(Forign Author) & other is Local Author version. Make some Short Notes while you Study like ... Keypoints and Formulae , this notes will help full in Revision purpose
